    ELEKTRONIKA МК-41

The Elektronika MK-41 was produced by Svetlana from 1981 in Leningrad (now St Petersburg). Retailing for RUB 180 and capable of super-accurate calculations at lightning speed, this desktop scientific (engineering) calculator was aimed at undergraduates, postgraduates, and researchers. The portability of the device, along with its processing power, made it popular in classrooms, research and production labs, and engineering departments.

As well as being able to perform the four arithmetic operations, the MK-41 could calculate logarithmic and trigonometric functions, produce exponentiation, input Pi with one key, and perform calculations (up to six left and right parentheses).

A desktop version of the Elektronika S3-15, this device sported a vacuum fluorescent display with 14 digits. Calculations could be made with either a floating or natural point.

The calculator is powered by a 220V AC mains supply, and its power intake is 12 W or less.
