The Elektronika MK-44 desktop calculator was produced by Eltav in Dagestan and Electronpribor (Fryazino, Moscow Region) from 1981.
This accessible calculator could perform the four arithmetic operations, change number signs, calculate square roots and percentages. It could also record information in two memory registers and store the result in a third — a brand new function for this kind of calculator. This useful innovation made complex calculations easier.
The calculation results are shown on a twelve-digit vacuum fluorescent display, with either a natural or a fixed point.
The calculator runs on a 220V AC mains supply.
